firecracker

Today I discovered that our dormant winter garden is full of life and energy: buds, shoots, seeds and new growth just waiting to explode. The acer stands, glowing like a firecracker amongst it all: flames flickering; vibrant and bursting with colour.

  1. What a burst of energy…are these leaves that haven’t been dropped yet? I’m confused! I particularly like the 8th & 10th images – in all of them, the way you choose to have out of focus leaves in front and behind makes an enchanting dance of it.
