Today I discovered that our dormant winter garden is full of life and energy: buds, shoots, seeds and new growth just waiting to explode. The acer stands, glowing like a firecracker amongst it all: flames flickering; vibrant and bursting with colour.

Comforting to see this at winter’s door ;o)
Yes isn’t it?
What a burst of energy…are these leaves that haven’t been dropped yet? I’m confused! I particularly like the 8th & 10th images – in all of them, the way you choose to have out of focus leaves in front and behind makes an enchanting dance of it.
They are yet to drop; in fact the tree is nearly bare now… lots of new buds though!
They’re great trees, aren’t they?
One of my favourites!
The textures and colors of fall beautifully captured.
These are just brilliant … beautiful!
Thanks!
Gorgeous!
